Privacy, cookies and legal notice

Under art. 13 of European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and under cookie ruling no. 229 of 8 May 2014, this notice informs visitors about the use of the data they submit and the cookies used by this site. It is also given under Recommendation no. 2/2001 adopted by the working party established by art. 29 of directive 95/46/EC. It covers the sites and portals of Chiron s.r.l. and does not cover other web pages reached through links.

Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures that operate this website acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by visitors, the URI addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file returned, the numeric code indicating the status of the server response, and other parameters relating to the user operating system and computing environment.

This data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it works correctly, and is deleted immediately after processing. It may be used to establish responsibility in the event of computer crimes against the site.

Data collected through contact forms and dedicated sections

This information refers to data provided voluntarily by the user.

• Contact usThe data provided will be used solely to respond to the request submitted. It is retained for as long as necessary to reply and, at the provider that technically operates the form, for a maximum of three years, after which it is deleted automatically. This processing is based on the consent given. Refusal makes it impossible to answer the request. Any further marketing purposes are subject to specific and separate consent.
• NewsletterThe data collected will be used to send informational material and will be retained and processed for that purpose until the data subject requests deletion through the channels provided.
• MarketingThe data collected may be used to send promotional or advertising material, solely where specific consent has been expressed, and will be retained until the data subject requests deletion.
• Work with usYour data will be used for recruitment and personnel selection and may be disclosed only to those directly responsible for functions relating to the selection procedure and the employment relationship, including third parties such as trade unions, personnel selection operators, labour consultants, data processors, training providers and occupational health and safety providers, as well as to public authorities and bodies concerned. Data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to assess the application. This processing is based on pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject request.

The processing described above is carried out primarily by electronic means, though paper based processing is not excluded. Data may be disclosed to parties considered recipients under art. 4 or data processors under art. 28 of the Regulation, appointed to functions enabling a response to the request made to us.

The service that operates the contact form

This website is made of static pages and has no server of its own able to send email. Data entered in the contact form is therefore transmitted to Web3Creative, operator of the Web3Forms service, which receives it, applies spam filtering and forwards it to the company mailbox. Web3Creative acts as data processor under art. 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, on the basis of a data processing agreement entered into by the controller.

To deliver the service, Web3Creative in turn relies on sub-processors, including Amazon Web Services and Hetzner Online GmbH for infrastructure, Cloudflare for endpoint protection, and CleanTalk and Automattic (Akismet) for spam filtering. The last two receive the IP address and email address of the person submitting the form, for the sole purpose of telling legitimate submissions from automated ones.

None of these services installs cookies or third party code on this website: the transfer happens only when the form is submitted, and only for the data entered by the user.

Transfer of data to a third country or international organisations

Data collected through the contact form is transferred to third countries. Web3Creative, the processor operating the form, is based in India, and some of its sub-processors process data in the United States. Neither India nor the United States is covered by a general adequacy decision of the European Commission.

The transfer takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission in implementing decision (EU) 2021/914, incorporated into the data processing agreement entered into with the provider, where the provider is the data importer and the controller is the data exporter. A copy of the clauses is available on request at the contact details given above.

Outside the contact form, no transfer of data to third countries or international organisations takes place.

Automated decision making

The controller does not use automated decision making processes concerning personal data.

Rights of the data subject

At any time you have the right to request access to your data from the controller, as well as its rectification or erasure. You will receive a reply within 30 days in writing, including by electronic means. You also have the right to request restriction of processing or to object to it, and to request the portability of your data to another controller. At any time you may withdraw the consents given, by contacting one of the addresses above.

Should you consider that your data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

Cookies

This site does not use profiling cookies, does not use traffic analytics tools and does not host third party scripts.

Fonts are served directly from this site: no request is sent to an external delivery network and no visitor IP address is disclosed to third parties.

The only value stored in the browser is a technical session flag, used to avoid repeating the opening animation on every page. It contains no personal data, does not allow the visitor to be identified and is cleared when the browser closes.

Since no cookies other than technical ones are used, no prior consent is required under art. 122 of the Italian privacy code.
