Mates: building AI agents by writing in a chat
Mates started as an internal Chiron project, now presented publicly as a back-office automation tool for SMEs. The core of the product goes beyond that definition.
Mates lets you create AI agents that connect across different systems by describing in a few lines of text what you want to achieve, without writing a line of code and without managing any infrastructure.
A concrete example: by describing in chat that every time a client books a call a detailed profile briefing should be generated, and that at the end of the call the opportunity should be pushed into the CRM with its value alongside a draft commercial proposal, Mates builds the entire AI agent, with every connector needed to make it work across the systems involved. The approach is similar to a development assistant such as Claude Code, but applied to several systems at once and further simplified: neither creation nor hosting of the agent is required, the only input needed is the description of the objective.
